What Pitch AI does
- Personalized throwing program. A weekly plan built in progressive blocks from age, playing level, years pitching, recent pitch counts, available days and equipment, season phase (offseason, preseason, in-season, postseason or return to throw) and goal (velocity, command, durability or returning from injury). Sessions can include catch play, long toss, plyo work, pulldowns, bullpens and arm care.
- Readiness check-ins. A daily check-in (readiness, soreness, pain and sleep) adjusts that day's session. On iPhone, sleep can be filled in from Apple Health.
- Workload tracking. Logged throws feed an acute:chronic workload ratio trend, and the plan's volume and intensity respond to it. After a logged game, Pitch Smart rest days for the pitcher's age are applied.
- Strength and conditioning. A generated strength program with set logging, a rest timer and competition scheduling.
- AI mechanics analysis. Upload or record a short clip of one pitch and get a report with strengths, areas to work on, phase-by-phase findings and priority drills. Reports can be exported as a PDF and shared with a coach.
- Pitch design and grips. Import TrackMan, Rapsodo, Yakkertech, FlightScope, PitchLogic or other CSV exports, or upload a screenshot, then review pitch recommendations. Includes a pitch grip library and lets you record your own grip videos.
- Nutrition. Calorie and macro targets by goal, food search, barcode and nutrition label scanning, AI meal photo estimates and body weight tracking.
- Coach View. Rosters, program templates, a team calendar, read-only athlete wellness and logs, and an acute:chronic trend for each athlete.
The programming rules inside Pitch AI were written by a person, and the drill videos are human-made. AI is used for mechanics video analysis, reading pitch data screenshots and schedules, and nutrition estimates, and those results should be reviewed.
What Pitch AI does not do
- It is not a radar gun. It does not measure pitch velocity with the phone camera or any other way. You can enter readings from your own radar gun or pitch tracker.
- It does not measure arm stress. Workload is estimated from what you log, not from a wearable sensor.
- It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose injuries, replace a physician or physical therapist, or clear anyone to return to throwing.
- It does not guarantee velocity gains or injury prevention. No program can.
- It does not have an AI chat coach or an Apple Watch app.
- Children under 13 should not use it on their own; a parent or guardian needs to be involved, and Coach View asks for guardian consent.
How we write about training
Our articles and free tools cite peer-reviewed research and published guidelines such as MLB and USA Baseball Pitch Smart. We frame arm health around building capacity: a gradual increase in throwing workload, strength, and daily readiness, so pitchers can handle more high-intent work over time. When we compare Pitch AI with other products, we say so, date the comparison, and link the competitor's own pages.
Pitch AI, PitchAI and other similar names
A few products have similar names. Pitch AI (two words, www.pitch-ai.app, published by Global Dominance LLC) is the pitcher development app described on this page. PitchAI by ProPlayAI is a separate baseball biomechanics product that analyzes pitching video; NVIDIA's developer blog described it in November 2020 as "a GPU-powered biomechanics app for pitchers." We have no affiliation with ProPlayAI, and we think it is a useful tool in its own right. Pitch AI is also unrelated to Pitch.com, the presentation software company, and its AI features.

Frequently asked questions
What is Pitch AI?
Pitch AI is a pitcher development app for baseball pitchers, parents and coaches, published by Global Dominance LLC. It builds a personalized throwing and strength program from a pitcher's age, level, schedule, season phase and goals, adjusts each day with readiness check-ins and an acute:chronic workload ratio, and adds AI video analysis of pitching mechanics, pitch design tools, a pitch grip library and nutrition tracking. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, with a web version, in seven languages.
Is Pitch AI the same as ProPlayAI's PitchAI?
No. ProPlayAI offers a separate product called PitchAI, a biomechanics app that analyzes pitching video. Pitch AI (pitch-ai.app, published by Global Dominance LLC) is an unrelated company and app. The two are not affiliated.
Does Pitch AI measure pitch velocity with the phone camera?
No. Pitch AI is not a radar gun and does not measure velocity or arm stress. You can enter velocity readings from your own radar gun or pitch tracker and import TrackMan, Rapsodo and other CSV exports into the pitch design tools.
How much does Pitch AI cost?
The app is free to download. On the web, Pitch AI Pro costs $2.99 per week, $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year, and Coach View team plans are $209.99 per year for 12 pitchers, $419.99 for 25 and $699.99 for 50. In the iOS app, App Store prices are $3.99 per week, $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, and Coach View is $299.99, $599.99 or $1,000 per year. Prices can differ by country and store.
